The greatest rationale I'd consider adding the MOE forend is it enables you to mount M-LOK angled and vertical foregrips to your forend. Even though I'm not usually a large enthusiast of vertical foregrips, they can be a great way to achieve remarkable leverage on pump-action shotguns.
